Moorgate Hall - Air Cooled Chiller Replacement

This five storey commercial office within the heart of Moorgate houses several blue chip tenants within the financial services sector.

The existing air cooled chillers located on the roof had reached the end of their economical life.

R A Ford Ltd carried out a staged replacement with two 500kW Trane RTAD 145 HELN Air cooled chillers.

The existing outgoing chillers had a slightly smaller footprint than the new Trane units to limit costs by maintaining the existing structural concrete piers and keeping within the planners approved height of the original chillers new custom fabricated transfer plates were made at our workshop along with new modular access platforms.

This project included road two closures from the Corporation of London and subsequently two crane lifts.
